My own view is that the way the Spaniards treated the Natives was completely horrible. Though I concede that the Spaniards were there to take over and conquer new land, I still maintain that torturing the innocent people was very unjustified. For example, he mentions how the Spaniards "snatched young Babes from the Mother's Breast, and then dasht out the brains of those innocents against the rocks;..". Although some might object that it was acceptable for the Spaniards actions, I reply that it was highly intolerable for mankind to allow such wicked activity. The issue is important because the history of such cruelty should not be repeated and should be prevented as much as possible.
